1. Flood Indicators and NA Regions Affected :
Belagavi District, Karnataka: A complete fury of flooding
has been released by the Krishna River and its tributaries like Ghataprabha and
Malaprabha. Temple, bridges, villages and even farmlands have been submerged.
More than 200 households have moved to relief camps.
• Vijayapura and Bagalkot District :
Flood-like conditions are
being endured because of high rainfalls continuing to fall. Relief centres have
been made operational and people being settled. Being through the Almati Dam,
it is letting out around 250,000 cusecs in an attempt to cope with gathering
waters.
• Belagavi District :
The district is on high alert and eight taluks have been affected.
The government has laid down 550 care centres. Sadly, two deaths were revealed
that were caused by falling walls. Approximately, 300 villages are flood-prone;
crops are damaged, and several bridges have been flooded.
• Andhra Pradesh (Vijayawada) :
Excess water in the floodgates of the Prakasam Barrage overwhelmed itself too much to the extent of completely closing down or shuttering the boating facilities by the Bhavani Island. Tourist attraction has been severely hit as it has been calculated that 50 lakhs were lost as a result of the same.

Relief Centres: All across Karnataka, the authorities are evactuating people in
high-risk zones and setting relief camps to keep them.

quantities of water through major dams like Almatti, Hipparagi, Hidkal, and
Renukasagar.

Summary :
The current condition of the Krishna River is the humbling
testimony to the element of the monsoon and the fragility of human settlement
in front of the laws of nature. In Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, priority will
be on killing the killing, controlling losses, and returning to some
regularity. As water is relentlessly pushing on its regular course, both
authority and citizens of the country in general are challenged to be alert,
attentive, and able to be strong in case there is necessity.
